CHUM and OKIOK will present the use of the S-Filer/Portal solution in a health center environment at the Vitrine technologique on November 26th, 2009.
OKIOK announces a presentation of its S-Filer/Portal secure file transfer solution. This joint presentation by OKIOK, publisher of the S-Filer/Portal solution, and the Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal “CHUM”, a leading health care institution and user of the solution, will be held (in French) at the Vitrine technologique of the Centre de Services Partagés of the Government of Québec.
The OKIOK S-Filer/Portal is a solution for the secure exchange of files, documents, images, videos and much more. Through the use of communities and groups, Sfiler/Portal makes it easy to create secure channels with any customer, supplier or business Partner. Furthermore, it provides for seamless and transparent use of multiple communication protocols and encryption without end-user intervention. This file transfer solution is so simple, people actually use it.
Mr. Alain Boucher, S-Filer/Portal Product specialist at Okiok will give a brief presentation and perform a demonstration of the product.
The CHUM, a renowned institution for heath care and services, education, research and technology, teams up with a vast network of institutions with whom it exchanges information. Annually, the CHUM handles nearly 115 000 emergency patients, and more than 450 000 patients within its external care installations. Moreover the CHUM carries out over 8 million lab tests yearly.
For several months now, the CHUM has been using S-Filer/Portal for secure electronic exchanges of diagnostics and lab results with its external partners, laboratories and private clinics.
Mr. Denis Lebeuf, information security officer at the CHUM, will discuss the experience and benefits of S-Filer/Portal at the CHUM.
