S-Filer Portal™ is a complete solution that enables large and small organizations to meet all of their enterprise needs for secure file transfer and storage.

OKIOK RELEASES VERSION 4.20.7 OF S-FILER/PORTAL™ SECURE TRANSFER SOLUTION

Support for ECS log format

This new version allows logs to be generated in JSON lines format (https://jsonlines.org/) based on the Elastic Common Schema (ECS, https://www.elastic.co/docs/reference/ecs). This approach simplifies integration with an MDR service. A new file named log4j2.ecs.xml will be placed in the “etc” directory on the server and the S-Filer Portal gateway. Documentation and an implementation example are available here.

Changes to REST API enumerations

Several enumerations in version V2 of the REST API have been modified to include a new value, “UNSUPPORTED.” This value has been added to allow for the coexistence of servers running different versions in a high-availability environment. In this type of deployment, it is possible that a server may have to process data that it does not recognize. When this situation occurs, the value “UNSUPPORTED” will be returned by the REST API. If this deployment mode applies to your situation, review the enumerations that now have the value “UNSUPPORTED” by consulting the YAML file describing the solution’s REST API. Details of the REST API are available via the solution’s URL using the following formula:

https://[URL_SERVER_SFILER]/sfiler/server/api/vX/ (where X is the API version)

Secure cookies (HTTPS)

Starting with version 4.20.7, the “Secure cookies (HTTPS)” configuration setting in the web interface has been removed and is now applied automatically. This change is necessary for the proper functioning of external components that need to interact with the solution’s web interface.

Custom consent and license pages

Starting with version 4.20.7, it is possible to configure a custom consent and license page based on a theme. This feature allows you to display a separate page to a specific group of users by adding pages to the theme. This makes it possible to present users with specific information related to the needs of the business. For more information on this new feature, please refer to the “How to” page, which provides all the implementation steps here.

Change to the REST API

Minor versions do not introduce changes to the REST API except for the correction of certain bugs.

Change in service behavior: /fileversions/{fileVersionId}

The behavior of the Endpoint /fileversions/{fileVersionId} was not consistent because the file deletion process is asynchronous. In some cases, when a file was deleted, the service returned HTTP return value 401 instead of return value 404. Starting with version 4.20.7, return code 404 will be the only one that can be returned when the file is no longer available.

Improvements

  • Added support for OpenId implementations for Azure B2C.
  • Increased the size of the RemoteIp column in the UserSession table to allow for the storage of all IP addresses. This resolves an issue that occurred when multiple components using IPV6 addresses were in front of S-Filer Portal.
  • Added a new cache refresh process for SAML authentication configuration settings.
  • Added Quick Send, now appears in the user activity report.
  • Added the “hide-password” in the sfiler-config-cli command.

Fixes

  • Correction of a display error on a group page when a group administrator removed a user they administered.
  • Correction to the solution update mechanism that caused the execution times of certain scheduled tasks to be lost.
  • Correction to the file selection process, which was overwriting files that had already been selected instead of adding them to the list when selected a second time.
  • Correction to an issue with the extension assignment process that displayed an error message when the execution area did not contain any extensions.
  • Correction to a visual issue with error and warning icons when assigning members to a shared space.
  • Correction of the group counter in the group list screen when a group administrator performs a search.
  • Correction an encoding issue with accented characters in the domain name on the login page.
  • Correction of an issue that prevented the use of an identical certificate for the gateway and server.
  • Correction of an issue that prevented the ICAP server from scanning empty files.
  • Correction of an issue that displayed an error message when clicking on an anonymous transfer link for a file that no longer existed when the language was not present in the URL.

Other changes

  • Modification of the display of the list of notification themes in the detail screen of a group to exclude inactive notification themes.
